Location Information Terms of Use

Article 1 (Purpose)

The purpose of these Terms and Conditions is to define the rights, obligations, and other necessary matters between Verywords Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") and the personal location information subject (hereinafter referred to as the "User") regarding the location-based service within the mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the "Platform") operated by the Company.

 

 

Article 2 (Effectiveness and Amendment of Terms and Conditions)

1. These Terms and Conditions shall take effect when a User who has applied for the service agrees to the Terms and Conditions and registers as a user of the location-based service in accordance with the procedures established by the Company.

 

2. If the User clicks the "Agree" button in the Platform for these Terms and Conditions, it shall be deemed that the User has fully read, understood, and agreed to the contents of the Terms and Conditions.

 

3. The Company may amend these Terms and Conditions in accordance with changes in laws and regulations or service operation matters, and shall notify the User in advance of the amended Terms and Conditions. If the User does not expressly refuse, it shall be deemed that the User has agreed to the amended Terms and Conditions.

 

 

Article 3 (Rules other than the Terms and Conditions)

These Terms and Conditions shall be applied fairly in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, and matters not specified in the Terms and Conditions shall be governed by relevant laws and regulations or commercial practices.

 

 

Article 4 (Service Contents and Usage Fees)

1. The location-based services provided by the Company are basically free of charge. However, in the case of paid services, they will be specified separately on the relevant service page.

 

2. Usage fees for paid services are subject to the policies of the electronic payment company contracted with the Company, and such fees may be charged in the manner prescribed by the Company.

 

3. Data communication charges incurred when using wireless services are charged separately and are applied according to the policies of the mobile communication company to which the user subscribes.

Article 5 (Service Use Restriction and Suspension)

Restriction of Individual User Service Use
The Company may restrict or suspend the use of services by a specific user for the following reasons:

 

- Disruption of service operation: If the user intentionally or through gross negligence disrupts the Company's service operation.

- Illegal or fraudulent acts: If the user uses the service for illegal acts or fraudulent purposes.

- Violation of Terms and Conditions: If the service user violates the Company's Terms and Conditions or policies.

 

Temporary Suspension and Change of Service
The Company may temporarily suspend or change all or part of the service due to operational policies or unavoidable circumstances.

 

- Temporary suspension: The service may be temporarily suspended for service facility inspection, maintenance, or the Company's operational purposes. In this case, the Company will notify in advance or afterward within the platform.

- Service change and termination: If the Company changes or terminates the service content, it will notify through various channels such as the platform and registered email.

 

 

Article 6 (Method of Collecting Personal Location Information, Purpose of Retention, and Retention Period)

Collection method
The company collects members' personal location information through GPS reception modules embedded in terminals, and uses it for the purpose of providing location-based services, and does not provide it to third parties without separate consent.

 

Purpose of retention
The company uses the collected personal location information to provide customized services, calculate carbon reduction amount , handle civil complaints, and improve services. Personal location information may be provided to third parties only when required by law.

 

Retention period
Personal location information and related materials are kept for up to 5 years according to internal and external standards. If the purpose of retention is achieved or the member withdraws consent, the information is destroyed without delay.

 

 

Article 7 (Use or Provision of Personal Location Information)

Use of Personal Location Information
The Company uses the User's personal location information to provide services, improve services, and prevent illegal use. If the User agrees to these Terms and Conditions, it shall be deemed that the User has agreed to the use of personal location information.

 

Provision of Personal Location Information to Third Parties
The Company shall not provide personal location information to other individuals or companies without the User's consent. If it is necessary to provide it, the Company shall notify the User in advance to whom and for what purpose it will be provided and obtain the User's consent.

 

Exceptional Cases of Provision
In the following cases, location information may be provided without the User's consent.

- When necessary for billing purposes.

- When providing only processed information that cannot be identified for statistics, research, and market research purposes.

 

 

Article 8 (User's Rights)

- The user may withdraw or suspend consent to the provision of location information at any time. Upon request for withdrawal of location information provision, the Company shall destroy personal location information collection, use, and provision confirmation data, excluding essential preservation information due to internal policies or relevant laws and regulations.

 

- The user may request to view and be notified of the personal location information provision confirmation data and has the right to request correction if there are any errors. The data that can be requested is as follows.

1) Personal location information collection, use, and provision confirmation data for the user.

2) The reason and content for which the user's personal location information was provided to a third party.

 

- Rights of legal representatives of minors under the age of 18

1) The company must obtain the consent of a minor under the age of 18 and his or her legal representative if it wishes to collect, use, or provide personal location information from the minor.

2) When consenting to the collection, use, and provision of personal location information of a minor under the age of 18, the legal representative may exercise the right to withhold consent, the right to withdraw consent and the right to suspend, and the right to request access and notification.

 

 

Article 9 (Indemnification and Disclaimer)

- The Company may claim damages from the User if the User causes damage to the Company by violating the provisions of these Terms and Conditions. Similarly, the User may claim damages if the User suffers damage due to the Company. The Company and the User shall not be exempted from liability if they fail to prove that there was no intention or negligence in the damage caused.

 

- The Company shall not be liable for damages to the User if the service cannot be provided due to the following reasons.

1) In the event of a force majeure event such as a natural disaster, war, or riot

2) If a third party affiliated with the Company intentionally interferes with the service

3) If there is a problem with the use of the service due to the user's negligence or intention

4) If it is difficult to provide the service due to other unavoidable reasons without the Company's intention or gross negligence
